Since our inception, every step has been a step towards a better future. With each achievement, we reaffirm our dedication to building a more inclusive, compassionate and conscious society, where no one faces their struggle alone.

2014

AVIFES created the Ondoan Guardianship Foundation in 2014, with the support of its social base of more than 1,300 associates.

2015

Signing of the Agreement with the Guardianship Institute of Bizkaia (Provincial Council of Bizkaia).

2016

Assumption of the first guardianship position.

2021

We assumed the 50th position

2022

Change of Statutes. New location of the Foundation. Renewal of the corporate image of the entity.

2024

We celebrate 10 years of trajectory of the Ondoan Foundation.

Why the creation of this Foundation?
Why maintain it?

  • To respond to the deep concern and worry about the future that has always been very present among family members and people with mental illness themselves.
  • To respond to the demand among people with mental illness and their families for support for comprehensive legal protection and the exercise of their capacity.
  • In order to, after the entry into force of Law 8/2021 reforming civil and procedural legislation to support people with disabilities in the exercise of their capacity, answer questions regarding the support measures available to them for the exercise of their legal capacity, both currently available and thinking about the future.
